How to Check Case Status on Bombay High Court Website

The High Court of Bombay is the high court for the states of Maharashtra and Goa in India, and the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. It is seated primarily at Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) and is one of the oldest high courts in India. The High Court has c benches at Aurangabad and Nagpur in Maharashtra and Panaji, the capital of Goa.

The Steps to check status are as follows-

Visit Bombay High Court website

 Visit official website https://bombayhighcourt.nic.in/

Select Case Status Button on the Homepage of the Website

The Status of your case can be viewed by various ways ,let’s discuss various option listed above in the tab of case status –

Search by Case Number:

  • Enter the Bench where the case is listed : Bombay/Aurangabad/Nagpur/Goa
  • Select Case Side: Civil/Criminal/Original
  • Select the Register or Stamp number. When a case is registered it gets a permanent Register number.
  • Select the Case type: Cr Bail Application, Writ Petition etc
  • Select the case number and case year
  • Enter the Security code Captcha and click ‘Search By Case No’

The case status can also be viewed in ‘Advocate Name Wise’ ‘Party Wise’ ‘CRN/CIN Case Wise’ ‘eFiling no wise’ ‘Neutral Citation Wise’ .

Search by Party Wise:

One of the popular option if you aren’t aware about the case number is Party Wise where you can enter –

  • Enter the Bench where the case is listed : Bombay/Aurangabad/Nagpur/Goa
  • Select Jurisdiction : Civil/Criminal/Original
  • Party Name and whether the party you want to search is a Petitioner or Respondent and the filing year
  • Enter the Security code Captcha and click ‘Submit’
